Skies clear, temperatures drop, but daily storm chances return in a couple days

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — After several hot days, we return to closer to seasonable temperatures. Still, the warmer-than-average temperatures will continue.

Cloud cover is in high supply this morning as a front moves through the southeast. As it moves out of the state, cloud cover will clear out this afternoon. Despite the sunshine, temperatures will be pulled down to around 86 for the high. The average high is around 84, so it’s still on the warm side, but we’re moving away from the summer-like heat.

Coupled with that, the humidity will be in the 20 percent range, meaning it’s going to feel lovely outside with no heat index. Tomorrow, cloud cover increases, and Friday sees the introduction of daily storm chances. Similar to the summer, isolated storms will pop up in some Middle Georgia locations during the day and fizzle at night. So far, no severe weather is expected Friday when the rain chances return.
