Skeletal remains found in Crawford County

KNOXVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is trying to identify human remains found in a wooded area in Crawford County.

J.T. Ricketson, the special agent in charge at the GBI’s Perry Office, says hunters found the skeleton of a man Sunday off Old Knoxville Road.

Agents have been on the seen since.

Ricketson say they’ve recovered about 90% of the remains. He estimates the bones have been there for at least a year.

Ricketson adds agents will send what they found up to the crime lab to try and identify the person found.
