Single car accident leaves Macon man dead

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- A body was found inside a car on Ocmulgee East Boulevard near Marion Avenue.

Bibb County coroner Lonnie Miley tells 41NBC, 23-year-old Nekaron Lawson lost control of his car and hit a tree.

Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe speed could have been a factor.

Blood tests will also be done to see if Lawson was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
