Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announces postseason games starting April 30

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its baseball playoffs will be held at Luther Williams Field.
SIAC Commissioner Anthony Holloman made the announcement, saying he is excited to bring the playoffs to Macon.
“There are a lot of great players that played on, I think our student athletes are in awe when they have a chance to play in such a great stadium,” Holloman said. “The Macon Bacon play here. I’ve watched many games as a fan. So to bring the SIAC here is awesome.”
Holloman said he expects games to be sold out.
He also referenced the stadium’s history, including it being the first baseball field in Georgia where Jackie Robinson was allowed to play in 1949.
The playoffs are scheduled to begin on April 30.
