Showers and storms to continue this week
MACON, Georgia. (41NBC/WMGT) – Our typical summertime weather with afternoon showers and storms will continue this afternoon and into the work week.
TODAY.
Under a partly sunny sky this afternoon temperatures will top out in the low 90’s. Afternoon showers and storms will return as well with heavy rain and frequent cloud to ground lightning being the two main storm threats. We will keep the clouds around this evening, and under a partly cloudy sky temperatures overnight will fall into the lower 70’s.
TOMORROW.
Rain chances will be slightly lower on Tuesday, but I am still expecting afternoon showers and storms to drift across the region. Afternoon high temperatures will top out in the lower 90’s before falling back into the lower 70’s overnight.
EXTENDED FORECAST.
Our rain chances will continue to be hit or miss during the afternoon hours throughout the work week. Temperatures will gradually be warming up into the middle 90’s as we head into the middle and later days of the work week.
