ShopLocalMacon.Com Gets New Look, Support from Main Street Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Main Street Macon has hopped on board the local train, and with the help of the College Hill Alliance, launched a new version of the shop local Macon website.
Today, the city, and local businesses leaders officially announced the launch at third street park.
It’s been in existence since 2010, but Main Street Macon’s Mechel McKinley says the website’s got a whole new, user-friendly look.
It’s an easy way for local businesses to promote sales and events. The 567’s Melissa Macker says she’s excited about the upgrades.
“The new website is beautiful. We’ve been using shop local in Macon for a long time. It’s just really important resource to have a one stop shop for people to find all these little mom and pop businesses that don’t have traditional marketing outlets like the big box stores do,” says Macker.
Mercer University and the Knight Foundation are also supporters of the website which you can access by clicking here.
