Shop Local Campaign: “Choose Robins Region”

“Choose Robins Region” is the new shop local campaign that encourages businesses and consumers to spend their money locally. The purpose is to stimulate economic development within middle Georgia.

“We want folks to shop all over the Robins Region,” says Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce President Ed Rodriguez.

It’s a simple concept that has peaked the interest of many.

“I’m really interested in the concept of shopping local and keeping your money here in Warner Robins,” says Bill Goggin, the General Manager of Landings Golf Course.

However, it’s not about keeping your money in Warner Robins. Instead, it’s spending your dollars locally to give all of middle Georgia a boost.

Rodriguez says, “We want them to shop in Warner Robins, we want them to go to the Macon Mall, we want them to go to Perry, Fort Valley…”

Goggin adds, “Shopping local means saving gas.”

The Chamber has faith that consumers can further the mission to encourage local shopping and keep their hard earned money where it belongs.

Chairperson Cheryl Taylor hopes the campaign will bring more jobs to the Robins region, provide more support to students and college graduates,
and preserve tax revenue.
