Bibb County Sheriff Davis wins another term after Democratic Primary victory
Sheriff Davis secures four more years, defeats Hall, Patterson and Paul
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff Davis Davis won another term on Election Day on Tuesday, beating challengers Deandre Hall, Chris Patterson and Chris Paul.
Since there are no Republican challengers, Davis’ win in Tuesday’s Democratic Primary means he’ll serve another four years.
“We have the technology piece that we have in place with our Flock cameras and our other monitoring equipment,” he told 41NBC. “Also the youth programs that we want to put in place in conjunction with our community, and then certainly when we talk about the jail, that will be something that we’ll be working on in our next term to be planning for that and getting ready to build it.”
Sheriff Davis also conveyed a message to those who did not vote for his re-election, saying he aims to serve the entire community regardless of their voting preferences.
Despite not winning, challenger Deandre Hall said he was eager to continue serving his community. “I live here,” he said. “I was raised here. I’m going to serve the county regardless. This was just a great opportunity, and I learned a lot during this.”
Candidate Chris Patterson also told 41NBC he would continue working to better the community.
