Shamrock Shake to benefit RMHC of Central Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Shamrock Shake is back at McDonald’s and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia is encouraging people to grab a shake.

Patty Gibbs, CEO of RMHC of Central Georgia, said 25 cents from every shake goes toward RMHC of Central Georgia.

The shake originated in 1970. In 1974, the Ronald McDonald House was founded in Philadelphia.

The Shamrock Shake was a key fundraiser for the first Ronald McDonald House and helped provide funds to support families in the Philadelphia area.

Gibbs says she encourages everyone to enjoy a Shamrock Shake and know they are supporting a good cause.
