Several Guards at Macon State Prison Face Charges

A handful of Macon State Prison guards face charges tonight. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says seven guards are charged with aggravated battery and violation of oath of office.

The Georgia Department of Corrections Commissioner requested an investigation, after a reported assault on an inmate at the prison last December 16th. The inmate was hospitalized for an extended period.?
