Senator Jon Ossoff unveils innovative ambulances in Middle Georgia
Senator Ossoff says the new modified ambulances will not only help patients, but also the job of the paramedics.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff announced on Monday, a major breakthrough in emergency response services for Middle Georgia.
Atrium Health Navicent received four state-of-the-art, van-based ambulances. The new ambulances are designed to serve those in Macon, Twiggs, Jones, and Treutlen counties.
Senator Ossoff says the new modified ambulances will not only help patients, but also the job of the paramedics.
“This is about whether or not should someone suffer a heart attack or be hit by a car or a gunshot wound is the state-of-the-art emergency response coming? There is little more important than this. And my job is to deliver health care resources, public safety resources to the state. So that’s what we’ve done,” explained Senator Ossoff.
Atrium Health Navicent President Delvecchio S. Finley expressed his excitement about the new ambulances.
“[The ambulances] will absolutely increase the pace and speed with which we’re able to service all throughout our community,” he said.
Senator Ossoff passed this measure through the Senate and the House with bipartisan support, and the President has signed it into law. Federal funding was used for purchasing the ambulances.
