Sen. Isakson Stops in Macon to Talk Agriculture

Senator Johnny Isakson was in Middle Georgia Thursday. The senator addressed a crowd at the Georgia Farm Bureau about the future of agriculture in Georgia. From poultry to peanuts, he stressed the importance of agriculture and said it’s critical to Georgia’s future.

“So I think the prospects for Middle Georgia economically are very good. I understand that we’re in a recession and I understand the impacts of that recession on people in Georgia, but there are a lot of people that wouldn’t trade places for the folks in Middle Georgia because of the diversity of economic development that they have,” explained Sen. Isakson.

The Senator called agriculture the business economic component of the state. He said it’s huge and it isn’t going away.
