Secretary of State Denies Monroe County’s Appeal in Border Dispute

Wednesday Secretary of State Brian Kemp denied Monroe County’s request to reconsider the boundary line dispute with Bibb County.  This is the latest development in this century long border war.  His decision was based on state law, which doesn’t support Monroe’s argument.

Kemp initially made the final decision in favor of Bibb Bounty back in August, but Monroe County Commissioners challenged the Secretary of State.  They called Kemp’s decision reckless.
