Secretary Of State Brian Kemp Responds To Fulton County Judge Ruling On Border Dispute
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Without much of a surprise, Secretary of State Brian Kemp has released a statement, regarding the ruling of the Bibb/Monroe County line dispute.
In a news release, Kemp said;
“I absolutely disagree with the decision that was handed down by the Fulton County Superior Court establishing the location of the boundary line between Bibb County and Monroe County. I believe it to be clearly at odds with existing law and the executive function of the Office of the Secretary of State. Thankfully, Georgians enjoy a judicial appeal process that gives us recourse in these situations. I intend to file an appeal and make sure that this matter is resolved in the best legal interests of the State of Georgia.”
