Second annual Milledgeville Film Festival underway

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Milledgeville Film Festival began Thursday night.

More than 2,000 people are expected to attend the second annual festival. The chairman of the festival, Jeremiah Bennett, says attendees make a significant economic impact on downtown restaurants and shops.

Bennett added hotels are filling up fast.

“It brings people from all walks of life together,” Bennett. “It dose not matter if you are a student. It dose not matter if you’re retired. It dose not matter your race or creed everyone unites with films.”

Thursday night there will be a free outdoor screening of five international short films along with the film “Saturday Morning Massacre.”
