School employee hit, killed in John Millage Academy parking lot

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Milledgeville community is mourning the death of a school employee killed in the John Millage Academy parking lot Wednesday morning.

Georgia State Patrol reports 60-year-old Dianne Bayne was hit by a truck in the John Millage Academy parking lot on Log Cabin Road. According to GSP, just before 8:00am, Bayne walked into the path of the truck driven by a 16 year old.

The Baldwin County Coroner says Bayne later died at Navicent Baldwin due to blunt force trauma.

According to the school’s website, Bayne was a business manager at the school.

GSP says the investigation is on going. And the driver is not expected to face charges.
