Scattered storms possible Thursday

Highs tomorrow will be warming to the low 90's and upper 80's with scattered showers starting to pop up during the afternoon.

Rain and storms stayed just outside of the Middle Georgia area today, but we likely won’t be quite as lucky with dry weather as we head into the weekend.

A cold front to our west will eventually be stalling over our area through Thursday and Friday, beginning an unsettled pattern that will linger into next week.

Over the weekend we will be dealing with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon.

It will be another hot weekend for Middle Georgia with highs warming to the low 90’s, especially in places that don’t see thunderstorms.

Despite the continued rain and thunderstorm chances, we are not expecting excessive rainfall between now and Tuesday.

A few isolated storms could have heavy rain, but most of what we are expecting is typical summer pop up storms.

Not much will be changing through next week as far as rain chances are concerned.

Humidity will be staying pretty high, but we could see a small cool down to start next week, so there are some small benefits to the rain.
