Save the Dogs: Dublin shelter needs adoptions before deadline
DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – More than 200 of Dublin-Laurens County Humane Society’s animals have until March 23 before the possibility of becoming euthanized.
Using the hashtag “Savethe200” on its Facebook page, the organization hopes families will adopt the dogs before they have to be put down.
The Humane Society’s Facebook page says the Georgia Department of Agriculture issued a Monday, March 23 deadline to reduce the number of dogs living a the facility to “one dog per pen, or 65 dogs” total.
Using the hashtag “Savethe200” on its Facebook page, the organization hopes families will adopt the dogs before they have to be put down.
Hoping to increase the chances of adoption, the shelter will now stay open on Monday – Thursday from 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m.
