Salvation Army Welcomes Two New Faces

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Salvation Army welcomed a new duo to middle Georgia.

Major Alan Hill and his wife Belinda have been spreading the Salvation Army’s mission throughout the country for nearly three decades. Major Hill served in the Air Force for 9 years before he and his wife fell in love with what the nonprofit was doing in their community.

They said they are excited to be in Macon and hope to find donors who will help provide the resources the group needs in order to continue it’s services.

“We want to look at ways we can increase some revenues; as I looked at all the programs there’s not a single program I’d want to cut in any way, but the reality is we have to operate within our means also,” said Major Alan Hill.

This is the couple’s 13th command within the number of years they’ve served. They replaced Majors David and Debbie Cope, who were reassigned to an office in North Carolina.
