Salvation Army of Macon to hold Annual Angel Tree Adoption, how to get involved

All gifts should be returned to the Salvation Army of Macon, which is located at 1955 Broadway, by December 13. Gifts will be distributed to families on December 17.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –The Salvation Army of Macon is hosting the annual Angel Tree Program.

Sargeant Sarah Sturdivant says the Angel Tree Program is a time when individuals, businesses, and community groups come together to provide gifts for children, seniors, and families in need during the Christmas season.

Sturdivant says participants can adopt a child by selecting their wish list from the Angel Tree, either online or in-person at locations like the Shoppes at River Crossing.

Sturdivant says there are many ways for people to get involved with the Angel Tree Program:

  • Adopt a child: Visit the online Angel Tree portal at Macon Salvation Army Angel Tree Adoption to select a child and fulfill their wish list. You can also visit a physical Angel Tree location at the Shoppes at River Crossing, in front of Talbots, to pick a child’s name.
  • Walmart Gift Registry: There is a Walmart gift registry where you can purchase a gift directly from the list. Just visit Walmart Registry to select an item.
  • Donate: You can donate a Walmart gift card or make a financial contribution directly to the Salvation Army to help fund the program.
  • Corporate/Church Involvement: If you represent a business or a church, this is a way for groups to come together and make an impact by adopting multiple children.

All gifts should be returned to the Salvation Army of Macon, which is located at 1955 Broadway, by December 13. Gifts will be distributed to families on December 17.
