Salvation Army Desperate for Turkey Donations
The Salvation Army in Macon is asking the public for help to make Christmas for needy families brighter.
The non-profit organization is short 500 turkeys for Christmas boxes, and is asking the public to consider picking up an extra turkey and donating it.
According to Peggy Steele, Director of Development, this year the Salvation Army is working with more than 1,600 families to provide holiday gifts and food.
