S.W.A.G. Patrol Gives Away Freebies to Make Middle Georgia Great
Raise your hand if you like the thought of getting free cash, free gas, or free groceries.
That’s what the S.W.A.G. Patrol Team from Robins Federal Credit Union is doing across middle Georgia.
S.W.A.G. is ‘Showing We Appreciate by Giving back’.
And their purpose is simple.
“Do good things and encourage people to pay it forward, and continue to do good things in their community,” Chris Spicer of the S.W.A.G. Patrol explains.
Patrol members spent the day in Milledgeville, giving away things like lunch boxes and coasters to students.
The kids perked up when they heard the patrol coming, announcing loudly the word ‘free’.
“College students are poor, free stuff is good,” Junior Lauren Gist said.
“I love free things.”
The S.W.A.G. Patrol is dressed in neon green shirts, with black pants and boots, ready to wage any kind of good deed needed to brighten someone’s day.
“We are just an entity of good,” Spicer says. “What do we call ourselves? Random acts of awesome!”
The patrol crew also made a quick stop at the gas stop. The first car to pull up, gets a free tank of gas.
“This definitely improves my day,” Ron Colvin laughed at his car was being filled for free.
From there, the patrol went to Chili’s in Milledgeville. The first person to pull out a Robins Federal credit card, won $50.
Steven Prance had the quick draw, now he’s got a 50 dollar bill in his pocket.
This is all great for those who won the gifts, but Robins Federal isn’t finished with the giving. They offer plenty of opportunities for everyone to get in on the winnings.
The S.W.A.G. Patrol typically gets out twice a week, hitting random cities, and random places in those cities.
Want to get some cash, free gas, free groceries, or maybe even a free toolbox? (They have more than that too!)
