Roush Yates Looks Ahead To 2012

MOORESVILLE, NC – Roush Yates enters the 2012 racing season confident in their engines and performance products after wrapping up a successful 2011. The performance company known for their NASCAR engines ended 2011 by earning the MAHLE Clevite Engine Builder of the Year award after capturing 160 race wins in nine different racing series.

Roush Yates’ Chief Engine Builder and CEO Doug Yates earned the MAHLE Clevite Engine Builder of the Year in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide series. The engineers at Roush Yates also received the Crane Cams Engine Builder of the Year award in the ARCA series; and Nick Ramey, ARCA Program Manager for Roush Yates, won the H.G. Adcox Sportsman of the Year Award the for an outstanding performance during the year.

In addition to multiple titles, Roush Yates also documented 160 wins throughout the 2011 season. Wins were earned in nine different racing series including: seven Off Road Truck, four ARCA, nine NASCAR Sprint Cup, 13 NASCAR Nationwide, 10 asphalt and dirt Modified, 14 Drag, 20 Sprint, 31 Road Racing and 50 Late Model wins. Roush Yates engines also powered five drivers to series championships.

Doug Yates is looking forward to dynamic advancements and developments in the 2012 season. “I’m very proud of everyone at Roush Yates for helping to accomplish so many wins in 2011,” said Yates. “Our company has grown so much over the last few years and it’s great to see everyone’s hard work pay off. I look forward to racing at Daytona next month and getting the 2012 season started.”
