Roundabout Construction to Begin in Warner Robins

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –Motorists are urged to use caution next week as crews start installing two new roundabouts in Warner Robins.

The intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Wellborn Road will be closed to all traffic on September 9 as construction begins on the first roundabout. According to City of Warner Robins Public Information Office, detours will be posted. Construction is expected to be complete in March 2014.

Construction on the second roundabout will begin immediately following the completion of the first roundabout at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and University Drive. Construction for the second project is scheduled to be complete September 2014.

The projects were funded by the 2011 Special Purpose Local Options Sales Tax (SPLOST).
