MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia is preparing for its 20th annual Sporting Clays fundraiser, an event that helps keep families close while their children receive medical care.

The two-day fundraiser will take place October 10–11 at 1064 Rumble Road in Forsyth. The event will feature multiple rounds of skeet shooting, with registration, breakfast and lunch provided.

The first flight begins at 8:30 a.m. each day, with an additional flight at 1 p.m. Friday and awards at 4 p.m. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m., and participants are encouraged to sign up early.

Proceeds from the Sporting Clays fundraiser benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia, which provides lodging, meals and support for families whose children are hospitalized in the Macon area. The nonprofit operates a “home away from home” on Forsyth Street, offering comfort and relief during medical treatment.

The Sporting Clays fundraiser is one of the organization’s largest annual events, drawing dozens of teams and sponsors each year. Funds raised help cover daily operations and family support services at the house.

Sponsorship opportunities and registration information are available on the organization’s website.
