Bibb deputies need help finding driver of van that hit teen while walking
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a teenage pedestrian.
Deputies say the incident happened on Oct. 8 around 7:20 p.m. in the 2500 block of Rocky Creek Road.
Deputies identified the victim as 17-year-old Brian Thomas was walking with a relative on the sidewalk. Someone reportedly saw a driver of a Chevrolet van jump the curb behind the two pedestrians and hit Thomas.
Authorities say the van did not stop and continued traveling south on Rocky Creek Road. An ambulance took Thomas to Medical Center Navicent Health. He has since been released.
Bibb Sheriff’s Traffic Investigators need the public’s help locating the van involved in this incident.
