Robins Airman Charged with Murdering Woman and Unborn Child

Charles Wilson IIIDAWSON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Robins airman is behind bars in Tift County accused of murdering a woman and her unborn child.

According to the GBI, 26-year-old Charlie Amos Wilson, III is accused of killing of 30-year-old Tameda Ferguson, who was about 8 1/2 months pregnant.

GBI Agents in Sylvester confirmed Wilson is a member of the airforce and employed at Robins Air Force Base.

Authorities say Ferguson’s body was discovered at her home in Dawson, GA on the morning of August 29th. She apparently died of a gunshot wound.

The Terrell County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to help investigate which led them to Wilson. Investigators say Wilson and Ferguson knew each other.

Wilson was arrested on September 3rd while he was driving through Tift County.

Wilson is a resident of Byron.
