Robins AFB opens Air Force Advanced Technology and Training Center in Middle Georgia

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/ WMGT) – Robins Air Force Base opened its doors to the new high-tech center Wednesday evening. Scientists, engineers, educators and students are able to collaborate with Robins experts to help advance technology.

The sharing of ideas can reduce maintenance sustainment costs and improve readiness by bringing in new technology. It also allows students to get excited about engineering.

“This is going to get the air force exposed to more folks. It’s going to get people more excited about coming to work for the air force. I think it’s going to be a force multiplier in our hiring efforts,” Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex Commander John Kubinec.

The new training center is at the former Publix on Russell Parkway.
