Road closures for Main Street Macon Christmas Parade
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is closing a few roads during the 2017 Main Street Macon Christmas Parade in downtown Macon Sunday.
The parade starts at 3 p.m. in Cherry Street Plaza and travels up Cherry Street to First Street and then to Mulberry Street and back to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
On Sunday, no vehicles will be allowed on Mulberry Street and First Street from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. No vehicles will be allowed to park along the parade route during those times as well.
The following streets will also be blocked for the parade, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office:
- MLK Jr. Boulevard will be blocked from Mulberry Street to Cherry Street.
- Cherry Street will be blocked from Fifth Street to First Street.
- First Street will be blocked from Cherry Street to Mulberry Street.
- Mulberry Street will be blocked from First Street to MLK Jr. Boulevard.
