Rising temperatures, more clouds and more humid
Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – You can thank the southwesterly winds for everything in that headline. When winds shift from the north to the southwest, you get that air from the Gulf of Mexico — warm and moist — instead of the drier and cooler air from the north.
Due to that, the average temperatures:
High: 61
Low: 37
Will be much warmer. The morning lows/afternoon highs through the weekend are:
Friday: 52/74
Saturday: 50/75
Sunday: 51/76
By Sunday night, a cold front finally makes its way through the area. There’s a chance for storms Sunday night, but most of the rain now looks like it’ll fall on Monday. Models are not showing significant amounts of precipitation with this system.
Expect highs and lows to drop, though more at night. Lows are forecasted to return to the 30s, but afternoon highs will still be above the norm in the mid – upper 60s.
