Reynolds Woman Prays for Missing Son to Come Home
The last time Mable Burk saw her son Bentrice Turner was late December.
Burk spoke with him briefly on the telephone at the beginning of this year. At the time she had no idea that might be the last time she heard his voice.
“I got a lot of calls saying that they heard he was dead and since that rumor, I still haven’t heard anything from him.”
Turner’s brother Deandre Johnson says, “There’s something seriously wrong because he never goes this long of time without calling someone or contacting anyone.”
Reynolds Chief of Police Lonnie Holder received the call from Burk when she filed a missing person’s report on Sunday. This case is different for Holder because he says Turner is his childhood friend.
“We grew up together in the same neighborhood, here in Reynolds…He was a good guy growing up, we all grew up and he strayed away from his mama’s teachings.”
Turner had some trouble with the law, but Burk is sure that has nothing to do with him being missing.
“I don’t think so because from what I understand these warrants have been out for over a year so if he was going to go missing why wait until now.”
Bentrice Bernard Turner is also known as “T-Nasty” and “Uncut.”
