Reynolds prepares for 26th Annual Georgia Strawberry Festival
The event is free and will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Reynolds, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Strawberry Festival in Reynolds will kick off with a weekend full of family-friendly activities.
Nicole Acree with the Georgia Strawberry Festival says this year will be their biggest year yet. There will be a gospel music concert on April 26. The concert is free and open to the entire community.
On April 27, there will be a 5-K run for literacy, parade, petting zoo, arts and crafts shows, a weenie dog race and a lawn mower race. There will also be a prehistoric exhibit for dinosaur enthusiasts, a pet costume award, live entertainment, a fire truck pull, and a strawberry pie eating contest.
There will be concessions with BBQ plates, hamburgers, hot dogs, and the festival’s signature strawberry shortcake.
The free event will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the parade begins at 10 a.m.
