Restaurant Report Card: The Perfect Pear
“It’s been a challenge getting in here because it’s been closed, or else they’ve been catering,” said owner Megan Brent.
At an event or in the restaurant, The Perfect Pear rings up some great food.
But first, a restaurant that needs to step it up health inspection-wise this week.
Tacos & More at 1238 Houston Lake Road in Warner Robins scored an 82.
There was black mold build up in the ice machine, the hood vent in the kitchen had grease buildup, and an employee stored some personal food next to food served to customers.
For some other scores this week, head over to the health inspection website.
A 100 score is in the name at The Perfect Pear.
“The perfect pear came from a bedazzled pear that I carried around with me when I first moved out on my own,” said The Perfect Pear owner Megan Brent.
It must’ve been a heck of a pear.
“I said I want to paint that pear with a red background and it would be the perfect pear,” said Brent.
Because the name was perfect.
“And as soon as that came out of my mouth, I was like, that’s it, that’s what we’re going to name the restaurant,” said Brent.
“Food was amazing,” said Chamberlain. “The preparation, the service is great. it felt very comfortable and not rushed at all.”
And the health inspection takes the cake.
“We’ve been doing this for six and a half years, and every health inspection we’ve always had an A, and again, we’re awfully proud of that,” said Brent.
“I’d recommend it, for sure, even though it’s my first time here, look forward to coming back again when they’re open and not catering,” said Chamberlain.
The Perfect Pear is certainly making the grade this week.
