Restaurant Report Card: Surreal Grill
“Break whatever you’ve heard of your concept of a general restaurant because we’re not,” said co-owner Barbara Frazier.
Surreal Grill is fresh to Gray, and a fresh take on a restaurant.
“(We) did not do our ribbon cutting until Wednesday,” said Frazier. “We want the whole experience to be surreal.”
The co-owner promises it’s “surreally” good.
But first, here are your health inspection scores this week.

Order something at Surreal Grill, and it’s different.
The kitchen made my order fast.
The menu’s extensive, with steak and burgers as well as Italian.
“We’re trying to reach the majority of tastes,” said Frazier.
We could be seeing the ordering of the future.
In case the service wasn’t good enough, it’s even quicker with technology.
“We are very high technology with the servers having iPads and printers that they can check people out at their table,” said Frazier. “They don’t have to wait for a ticket.”
But it’s good, ‘ole fashioned clean as well.
Surreal Grill is making the grade this week.
