Restaurant Report Card: Salsa’s Mexican Grill
Unlocking a successful restaurant can happen in many ways.
“We’ve been married 13 years now,” said Raymilia Garcia.
Marriage brought everything together for Eric and Raymilia Garcia.
“I feel a lot of pride in what we’ve accomplished so far,” said Raymilia Garcia.
They own Salsa’s Mexican Grill in Warner Robins, and boy is the food good.
But first, here’s a restaurant that needs to step it up this week.
S&S Cafeteria on Riverside Drive scored a 73.
They had a bucket of sanitizer in the hand washing sink, the chicken in the serving line didn’t meet the hot temperature requirement, and they had dented cans of green beans stored in the pantry.
Other scores this week:
Paul’s Wings & Fried Rice on Eisenhower Parkway – 93
Silver Bay Seafood on Presidential Parkway – 90
American Deli on Watson Boulevard – 95
American Wings & Deli on Watson Boulevard – 88
El Cotija Meixcan Restaurant on Margie Drive – 94
El Jalisciense on Highway 96 – 87
Family Deli on Manor Court – 96
Meldino’s 1 on Gunn Road – 96
Monsoon on Highway 247 – 95
S Deli and Wings on General Courtney Hodges Boulevard – 100
Shanghai Restaurant on Watson Boulevard – 100
Good scores this week.
“We both come from parents that told us work hard in life and you will obtain what you want–and that’s what we have done,” said Raymilia Garcia.
You can tell the food at Salsa’s has been cared for.
Eric and Raymilia cook up good food because the restaurant is such a big part of their lives.
“Being a bus boy, dishwasher, moving up to waiters, manager, and being able to own your own business is something to be proud of, but it’s continuous work,” said Raymilia Garcia.
And that perfect health inspection on the wall tops it all off.
“I know that anyone that goes to eat at a restaurant wants the place to be clean,” said Raymilia Garcia. “You also go because you like the food, but you definitely want the place to be clean.”
Salsa’s is a dip into making the grade this week.
