Restaurant Report Card: Roasted

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Don’t sleep on it because the food is way too good at Roasted.

“Yeah, not every place has a couch,” said employee Kyle Tucker.

“I got that relaxed vibe about this place well before we walked in here,” said customer Stephen Harley.

“We’ve got a pretty good breakfast menu–lot of good deli style sandwiches–all fresh ingredients,” said Tucker.

But first, here’s a restaurant that needs to step it up this week.

Kum O Restaurant on Hawkinsville Road in Macon scored a 71.

An employee didn’t wash his hands with soap, they didn’t have any hand soap at the employee hand washing sink, and there was a box on top of a sink.

The couch is open for naps, but if you’re napping, you may miss the great food.

“I mean sometimes you’ve just got to sleep it off ya know,” said Tucker.

“We got our food,” said Harley. “It seemed so fresh, hot–fresh from the oven or the stove or whatever, and I could hardly wait to bite into it.”

It’s roasted hot–just as good as the health inspection score on the wall.

“I mean it’s extremely important, a health inspection score is half the reason people return or don’t return,” said Tucker.

“The food has to pure it has to be put together in a way that’s healthy and not anything that would be hazardous, and I certainly did not eat any hazardous food today,” said Harley.

Roasted is making the grade this week.
