Restaurant Report Card: Moe’s
It stands for musicians, outlaws and entertainers.
The artwork on the wall is a tribute to artists who have passed away.
The menu has southwestern food like burritos and quesadillas.
“I do mine with chicken, whole grain, I get everything on it,” said customer David Huegel.
But first, here’s a restaurant that needs to step it up.
Kum O Restaurant at 7275 Hawkinsville Road in Macon scored a 40.
The person in charge didn’t demonstrate knowledge about the violations, raw eggs were delivered to the restaurant at a temperature warmer than required, and there were peeled potatoes stored under the bar sink covered in gnats.

You may not know, but no one named Moe started Moe’s.
“There’s no one really named Moe,” said Yerby. “It’s just a character they made up, but if you look on the artwork you can see him. This is Moe right here. He’s on my hat. That’s him with a guitar.”
Moe’s stands for something interesting.
“Moe’s actually stands for Musician, outlaws, and entertainers,” said Yerby. “And that’s kind of what our artwork reflects. We call this the dearly departed, and if you listen close, even our playlist–every song played is from a dead artist.”
Good food and a perfect health inspection rolled up into one.
“Definitely important, and you know 100, best thing you can do,” said Huegel.
“Of course everybody can keep the table clean, the food in temp, but the health code– that’s the minimum requirement, and we always try to meet and exceed those,” said Yerby.
Moe’s is making the grade this week.
