Restaurant Report Card: La Cabana

BONAIRE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – “Everyone works together, it’s a family owned restaurant,” said La Cabana server Miguel Sanchez.

When you’re as close as a family, you can run a restaurant pretty well.

That’s how it is at La Cabana at 402 Highway 247 in Bonaire.

“Everybody here seems like a family,” said Sanchez.

But first, here are your scores this week:

Every family lives in a home.

“It used to be kind of dull in here so we came in here we tried to make it feel more lively–give it more decoration to make it more vibrant,” said Sanchez.

The walls at La Cabana show it.

And so does the bar, where you can grab a drink.

“We have our bar it’s kind of secluded back there so I mean our customers don’t get bothered by the bar. I mean there are some customers that are kind of rowdy but hey, who doesn’t? It’s a bar so, there’s no problem with that,” said Sanchez.

But the main course? The food.

“The house special is the most popular dish, everyone that comes here, I mean we sell that one like left and right,” said Sanchez.

The health inspection score makes the house special as well.

“If you go to a place and you come in and it’s dirty, automatically you feel uncomfortable. We try to keep it clean inside and out,” said Sanchez.
