Restaurant Report Card: Kudzu Seafood Company

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – You could let the delivery bike take you, or you could just walk in.

“It’s like you’re in the coast, it’s like you’re in New Orleans,” said Kudzu Seafood Company owner Lee Clack.

Kudzu Seafood Company is taking you from downtown Macon to the coast.

“What we specialize in here is just good southern coastal seafood,” said Clack.

It’s some delicious food that you’re not going to find anywhere else in downtown Macon.

“(It’s) a lot of fried stuff–fried shrimp is probably the best thing we do,” said Clack.

“There are some seafood places that are open dinner only, but we wanted to make it lunch time, make it affordable, I knew I had a good product,” said Clack.

It’s a product that could be delivered on wheels.

“We could do 15, 20 a day, easy,” said Clack.

You won’t find a cleaner restaurant, either.

“You don’t see 100s a lot because there a lot of details to be addressed on everything. So, our goal is to do it right and to do it the best of anybody,” said Clack.

Kudzu Seafood is the best of anybody this week–they’re making the grade.
