Restaurant Report Card: Jimmy John’s
Follow Mom’s advice–she wants you to eat at Jimmy John’s.
“I love the bootlegger it’s got a great taste, love the name too,” said McAfee.
But first, here’s a restaurant that needs to step it up this week.
Sushi Thai on Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins scored a 75.
The hand sink behind the bar was blocked so you couldn’t use it, the rice noodles weren’t cold enough while they were stored, and the hood vents above the grill were greasy.
Other scores this week:
Anderson’s Bakery and Catering on Heard Road – 100
China House on St. Patrick’s Dr. – 97
Emmaus Table on S. Houston Road – 100
Happy China on Russell Parkway – 91
Johnny’s New York Style Pizza on Highway 96 – 77
My Father’s Place on Moody Road – 90
Outback Steakhouse on Watson Boulevard – 91
The Kitchen on N. Davis Drive – 100
Zaxby’s on Sam Nunn Boulevard – 86
If you’re looking for something quick, Jimmy Johns is the place.
“We do focus on freaky fast,” said manager Terry Borum. “There’s a difference between us and fast food, but we do get them out within 30 second. By the time you get your food a pay, you should have your sandwich.”
The health inspection is freaky good too.
“It tells me they’re doing the right things back behind the counter and I won’t eat anything nasty in my food,” said McAfee.
That perfect 100 means they work hard.
“Every second of the day we’re cleaning, every shift, every moment we’re focused on keeping everything well put together,” said Borum.
Jimmy John’s is making the grade this week.
