Restaurant Report Card: Georgia Bob’s BBQ
The order’s ready here at Georgia Bob’s BBQ, and the health inspection score is perfect.
“Well our chicken salad is one of our best sellers, I sell about a hundred pounds a day, on average,” said Georgia Bob’s Manager Jason Joseph.
But first, here are a couple of restaurants that need to step it up this week.
King Chef on Shurling Drive in Macon scored a 64.
They weren’t cleaning dishes right, reusing zip lock bags, and had food stored in some open storage containers.
Paula’s Fried Chicken in Dublin scored a 73.
They stored raw chicken above their vegetables, they used glass cleaner to wipe the tables down, and had wiping clothes sitting on a food prep table.
Other scores this week:
Alt Deli & Sushi on Zebulon – 80
Chen’s Wok Seven on Presidential – 97
Nu-Way Weiners Number 5 on Emery Highway – 91
Deano’s Italian on W. Jackson in Dublin – 93
Minute Grill on E. Jackson – 85
World Deli on Marion Street – 93
Chevy’s Pizza on W. Clinton in Gray – 96
Skyline Restaurant on Old Gray Highway – 100
Trish Ann’s on Bowen Hill Road in Haddock – 100
Apparently the barbecue at Georgia Bob’s is pretty good–that is, if you can get past the chicken salad.
“No it’s the best chicken salad I’ve ever had, and every time I come in here I order it, I’ve never gotten past that to even try the BBQ, so I don’t know if the BBQ is any good or not,” said customer Sam Henderson.
And if your family doesn’t eat it all first.
“It’s very good, you can buy it by the pound–the quart,” said Roper. “It’s really good so she always sends me across town when she’s got a craving for Georgia Bob’s.”
You’ll enjoy a clean restaurant while you’re there as well.
“We strive really hard on running a clean restaurant,” said Joseph. “We did get a 100 on our last health score. We want to show the customers that we really try very hard on doing a very good job for them as well.”
