Restaurant Report Card: Curry Mantra

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – “It’s a got that date night feel… a good one,” said Curry Mantra customer Cathy Hyde. “A good date night where I would want my husband to take me.”

Make a date to check out Curry Mantra.

“There are a lot of chain restaurants in Warner Robins and there are very few that are authentic and multicultural so we are one of them,” said co-owner Ravi Ladani.

If you want something that’s got international flare to it, this is the spot.

“It’s just a very attractive–the presentation of your meal,” said Hyde. “I love that.”

But first, here’s a restaurant that needs to step it up this week:

Moon’s Wings on Gray Highway scored a 69.

An employee didn’t have a hair restraint on, they had raw meat stored over ready-to-eat wing sauce, and they had some personal items stored around the prep table.

Other scores this week:

Asian Bistro on West Hancock Street – 100

S & S Wings on Allen Memorial Drive – 100

The Fun Faction on North Columbia St. – 100

El Tejado on Cabiness Road – 92

Lockett’s Country Cooking on Main St. – 96

Lucky Cafe on Harold G. Clark Parkway – 93

The Anvil Room on N. Kimball Street – 96

The Brickyard at Riverside on Wesleyan Dr. – 92

The Hot Dog House on High Falls Road – 98

Ninja Japanese Steak House on Mulberry St. Lane – 99

Great scores this week.

“We live in this country and we want to be a part of it,” said Ladani.

You may not recognize some of the names of the food, but you will recognize great taste.

“I have to say Tikka Masala just because I’ve had other Tikka Masala’s and this is the best I’ve ever had,” said Hyde.

“We have a lot of varieties. We serve chicken, we serve seafood, lamb, goat,” said Ladani.

And, of course, cleanliness is at the top of the list.

“Teamwork is there,” said co-owner Kalpesh Gondaliya. “They are working very hard to keep the 100 plus all the time.”

“I am very impressed with this place because they have quality,” said Hyde. “Everything yells quality.”

You might even get happy just walking in.

“It’s not just that the food is tasty and that the menu changes, it’s that it’s so well presented to you, and I get giddy coming here,” said Hyde.

Curry Mantra is making the grade this week.
