Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia shares resources available for those in need

"We offer hope, redemption, and empowerment through Jesus Christ," says Walker.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia is reminding people to seek help if needed during the holiday season.

Development Director at Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, Amy Walker, says the organization is a long-term, life-recovery program.

“We offer hope, redemption, and empowerment through Jesus Christ,” says Walker. “We are programed for men, women, and children.”

The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia helps people dealing with addiction, domestic violence, sexual abuse, poverty, homelessness, and other life-challenging issues.

Walker says the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia offers more than food, shelter, and clothing. Walker says the organization offers professional counseling, mental, and physical opportunities.

Walker says the resources are free for those in need. The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia has two thrift ministry stores that accept donations and 100% of the proceeds go back towards the program to help people in need.
