Rep. Lucas Announces Bid for Senate

State Representative David Lucas announced his bid for the open Senate seat when Senator Robert Brown officially steps down. Lucas says this position will allow him more freedom to make changes.

“Well I think the numbers are a lot less. And you have a lot less folks to, what I call, ringer with as far as legislation goes.”

Lucas will not officially resign his position until he qualifies to run for the senate seat. There are no other rumored candidates for the senate seat.
