Red Cross Volunteers Prepare Food for Families Affected by Storms

Monroe County was hit hard by Thursday morning’s storm, and volunteers from across the county have started helping in any way they can.

Red Cross volunteers have set up shop at Fire Station #2 in Monroe County, making sandwiches, and putting together meals for families hit by the storm.

“Our concerns are making sure we get damage assessment, and find all the families…that we give them the immediate needs of food and shelter,” Red Cross volunteer Jackie Trotter said.
