RECALL WATCH LIST: Federal agencies issue sweeping recalls on seafood, supplements, lawn mowers, and playground swings amid health and safety concerns
Federal recalls target food, supplements, garden seeds, outdoor gear, and playground equipment; consumers urged to check their homes for affected products.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Federal agencies have issued a string of major recalls and public health alerts this week, spanning a wide array of consumer products. The affected items range from popular pre-workout powders and children’s supplements to seafood, canned meats, gardening seeds, outdoor equipment, and playground swings. Here’s a breakdown of the latest recalls and how they could impact your daily life.
Smoked Seafood Pulled Over Listeria Risk
The Starfish Seafood Trio—smoked salmon, halibut, and trout—has been recalled after officials warned of possible Listeria contamination. The eight-ounce packs, marked with an expiration date of Dec. 1, 2027, were sold in several East Coast states, including Georgia. No illnesses have been reported, but consumers with these products are advised not to eat them and to return them for a full refund.
Chicken Sausages Face Import Alert
A public health alert has been issued for Grace brand Ready to Eat Chicken Vienna Sausages and Hot & Spicy Chicken Vienna Sausages. These canned products were illegally imported from Jamaica, which is not authorized to export meat to the United States. The items were sold in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and Texas. While no illnesses have been reported, consumers are urged to dispose of or return the products.
Pre-Workout Powder Contains Illegal Ingredient
Consumers using Rapture Pre-Workout should be aware of a recall affecting three flavors: Rainbow Twist, Electric Lemonade, and Berry Mojito. The FDA found the presence of DMAA, an illegal stimulant that can raise blood pressure and increase heart risks. The recalled products were sold between January and May. No illnesses have been reported, but customers should stop using the supplement and return it for a full refund.
Baby Sleep Aid Contains High Alcohol Content
Pacific Health Sciences is recalling Magic Tea Brand Baby Sleep Gripe Water after the FDA found it contains 8.3% alcohol—comparable to some liquors—as well as small amounts of additional alcohols found in hand sanitizer. The affected four-ounce bottles, packaged in amber glass inside a blue cardboard box, are marked with a “best before” date of December 2028.
Lawn Mowers Recalled After Fire Reports
Nearly 43,000 DR Power Equipment Pilot and Premier Trimmer Mowers are being recalled due to a fire risk. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that grass and debris can build up and catch fire, resulting in 19 reported fires and two minor injuries. The recall affects eight models sold nationwide between November 2022 and July 2026. Owners should stop using the mowers and contact the company for a free repair kit or installation.
Playground Swings Pulled Over Fall Hazards
More than 110,000 Pacearth U-Type Swing Seats are being recalled after at least 30 falls and nine injuries were reported. Federal regulators say the swing’s seats, straps, or metal parts can break, creating a serious fall risk. The swings, which come in various colors with yellow plastic-coated chains, were sold on Amazon from May 2017 through June 2026. Consumers should stop using the swings and contact the manufacturer for a full refund.
