Rainy Weather Boosts Buckarama Turnout
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMT) – Organizers think this weekend’s wet weather actually helped the Buckarama turnout in Perry.
More than 10,000 hunters and outdoor enthusiasts stopped by to shop at the annual trade show. For many, the event at the fairgrounds served as a refuge from the rain, and an opportunity to bond with the kids.
“A lot of people don’t realize, don’t think about how open hunting and fishing is to all
ages, both genders. It’s a great activity and can be a great family activity,” said Todd Holbrook, Georgia Wildlife Federation CEO.
Over 160 vendors made their way to Perry this year, showing off ATV’s, guns, live animals, hunting tools and of course plenty of camouflage.
