Rainier pattern sets up for this week
I don’t expect much severe weather from this. A stray severe storm is possible, with the main concern being high wind gusts, but that’s typical for this time of the year. Most of the storms will be your typical summer thunderstorm.
The interesting thing about this setup is we’re not looking at a washout of a day. The rain will mainly be in the form of isolated storms, but since the possibility of rain persists throughout the entire day, the rain chance is high at 50 percent. So yes, you should have the umbrella in the car as you may need it when you leave work.
The southwest flow of rain repeats tomorrow and Wednesday, with similar humidity, the same chance for severe weather, and slightly warmer temperatures. While the southwest flow doesn’t look as strong Thursday, rain chances are still moderate at 40 percent then, so overall, a rainier week compared to our last one.
