Rain moves into Middle Georgia tonight
Middle Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – This morning is the last chilly morning until Friday. With a cold front bringing rain from the west and a warm front moving up the area, expect extremely warm lows overnight in the low 60s (average low is 36).
Cloud cover increases this afternoon ahead of a cold front to our west. By this evening, we’ll see a few showers pop up in the area, but the most widespread rain happens tomorrow, starting overnight and lasting throughout the afternoon. Storms are possible, but most of the precipitation will be rain. Wind shear will help produce some gusty winds.
This front will move out of the area by tomorrow night. Dry air comes into the area behind it, both in terms of sunnier weather and in terms of much lower humidity. By Friday and through the weekend, nothing but sunshine!
Here are your highs and lows for this cold weekend. Don’t be surprised to see freeze warnings pop up:
Friday: 57/28
Saturday: 56/28
Sunday: 57/36
