Rain and gusty winds expected for Friday across Middle Georgia
Good evening,
Rain moved into Middle Georgia overnight and has continued through the day and into this evening.
More rain is on the way from Alabama as low pressure pushes through the area tonight. Not expecting much in the way of thunderstorm activity, but we could see some pockets of heavy rain mixed in with the more moderate rainfall.
Rain will linger into Friday, mainly during the morning hours. By the afternoon, the rain will have moved out, but clouds will stick around through the evening.
Behind the rain we will see a pretty big temperature swing with highs only making it into the low 50’s. Not only will temperatures be falling, winds will be gusting between 25-30 mph by the afternoon, so keep an eye on any holiday decorations and inflatables ;).
Speaking of the holidays, the Christmas forecast is still looking pretty good across much of the area. Sorry if you were dreaming of a White Christmas, but a near normal Christmas is what we will be getting.
